How can I apply for a High Security Registration Plate in Maharashtra?

Autocar India says: As per the Maharashtra State Transport Department’s announcement, all vehicles registered before April 1, 2019, are required to have High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) installed before March 31, 2025. The procedure to get these plates is rather straightforward.

You can order the plates online via multiple authorised service providers, such as Real Mazon. Once you fill in all the details (vehicle registration number, chassis number and engine number) and make the payment of around Rs 800, you will be provided an option to select your preferred location, time and date for installation. On the pre-decided date, you need to visit the location with your vehicle, where their representatives will replace your existing plates with new High Security Registration Plates and place a sticker on your front windshield mentioning your registration number and registration month.
