While the Tiguan R-Line is imported via the CBU (completely built unit) route, the Tayron R-Line will launch as a locally assembled model.

Powering the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that does duty in the Tiguan R-Line. Other than this, it continues with a 3-spoke steering wheel and 30-colour, customisable ambient lighting.
In terms of features, it is equipped with a driver-centric 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and an 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It also gets 12-way powered front seats with memory, massage and ventilation functions, an augmented reality (AR)-based head-up display (HUD), a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and 3-zone climate control.

The safety suite of the Tayron R-Line comprises nine airbags, ESC, hill-start and hill-descent controls, a 360-degree camera and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Notably, the SUV achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating in 2025.
The Tayron R-Line is set to launch by March 2026 as a locally assembled model, brought in as completely knocked down (CKD) units. Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), it will rival the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and MG Gloster.
