Kia Seltos and Sonet GTX trim

Kia has introduced a new mid-spec GTX trim for both the Seltos and Sonet SUVs, and has also updated them with a new color option. While the Seltos GTX is positioned between the HTX+ and GTX+(S) trims, the Sonet GTX is in between the HTX+ and GTX+ trims. Both are only available with automatic gearbox options.

Hereā€™s a detailed look at the prices of the Seltos and Sonet GTX variants:

Kia Seltos and Sonet GTX price
Powertrain Seltos Sonet
1.0-litre turbo-petrol-DCT Rs 13.71 lakh
1.5-litre turbo-petrol-DCT Rs 19 lakh
1.5-litre diesel-AT Rs 19 lakh Rs 14.56 lakh

Kia Seltos: whatā€™s new?

Compared to the HTX+ trim that sits below, the new GTX trim additionally includes the ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brake and rain sensing wipers. However, it misses out on the Bose sound system, air purifier and powered driverā€™s seat available on the higher GTX+(S) trim. As a GT Line trim, it also gets the GT-specific exterior and interior cosmetic package.

The Seltos GTX trim is available with the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol-DCT or the 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel-AT powertrains. Additionally, Kia has also introduced a new Aurora Black Pearl paint option on the X-Line variant that was so far exclusively available in a matte grey shade.

Kia Sonet: whatā€™s new?

Similarly, the new GTX trim on the Sonet adds features like a 360-degree camera and a powered driverā€™s seat over the HTX trim. Additionally, apart from the rear spoiler, it also gets GT Line-specific exterior and interior cosmetic elements. However, it still misses out on the Bose sound system, LED ambient lighting and ADAS suite available on the GTX+.

The Sonet GTX can be available with either the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol-DCT or the 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel-AT powertrains. The X-Line variant of the Sonet also benefits from the new Aurora Black paint shade that was so far only available in matte grey finish.

In another slight rejig, Kia has removed the diesel-MT powertrain from the HTE and HTK trims. The diesel range now starts from HTE(O). Plus, the turbo-petrol engine is now more accessible as it is available on the mid-spec HTK trim with an iMT gearbox, and is priced at Rs 9.60 lakh.
