Mahindra XUV700 crosses two lakh production milestone

The Mahindra XUV700 has crossed the two lakh production milestone in less than three years since its launch in August 2021. To celebrate the milestone, Mahindra has introduced two new colour options for the SUV.

2. Gets two new colour options – Deep Forest, Burnt Sienna

The XUV700 had achieved the 1 lakh production milestone in 21 months, while it took Mahindra only 12 months to produce the next 1 lakh units of the SUV, and hit the 2 lakh production mark. The company has now introduced two new paint schemes for the XUV700, namely Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. Other single-tone colour options include Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage and Napoli Black.

Mahindra XUV700: powertrains, price 

Powering the XUV700 is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 200hp, and a 2.2-litre diesel unit putting out up to 185hp. Transmission options on both include a 6-speed manual as well as an optional 6-speed torque converter auto. The diesel engine can also be had with an all-wheel drive configuration, while the petrol is FWD only.

The XUV700 is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh, and goes up against Tata Harrier, Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and even Jeep Compass. The company is also in the works of introducing a fully-electric version of the XUV700 called the XUV.e8, expected to go on sale by the end of this year.
