BGauss RUV 350 launched at Rs 1.10 lakh

BGauss has launched the RUV 350, an electric scooter with 16-inch wheels, priced between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The RUV comes in three variants: i EX, EX, and Max, with the Max claiming 120 km real-world range in Eco mode with its 3 kWh LFP battery, while the other two have a 90 km range with a 2.3 kWh battery. All of them use the ‘InWheel Hyperdrive’ motor (similar to the Chetak’s swingarm-mounted unit) and share a top speed of 75 kph.
The base RUV 350i EX has a segmented LCD display without Bluetooth, while the other two variants come with a 5-inch color TFT display offering notification alerts and navigation prompts. The base model also lacks cruise control, hill hold, fall safe, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The nifty thing about the RUV 350 is its use of large 16-inch wheels, similar to the step-through scooters commonly seen in Southeast Asian countries.
