BYD Seal EV price, variants explained
March 6, 2024
BYD has launched the Seal electric sedan in India with prices ranging between Rs 41 lakh-53 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Seal comes to India as a full import, but BYD has made the entire range available here. It comes in three trims – Dynamic, Premium and Performance – with two battery pack options and in both RWD and AWD guise. Let’s take a closer look at the variant-wise break up.
BYD Seal trims and variants explained
The range starts with the smaller 61.44kWh battery that’s only available in RWD guise and on the entry-level Dynamic trim. In this spec, the Seal produces 204hp and 310Nm of torque, and has a claimed range of 510km (NEDC cycle).
The larger 82.5kWh battery is available with the Premium and Performance trims. The former comes in RWD configuration which produces 312hp and 360Nm of torque, and has a claimed range of 650km. Meanwhile, the top-spec Performance AWD variant produces 530hp and 670Nm of torque, and has a claimed range of 580km.
BYD is providing a 7kW AC charger as standard. As for DC charging, the Dynamic trim can accept charge at up to 110kW, while the Premium and Performance variants can charge at up to 150kW.
BYD Seal variant-wise features listed
