Royal Enfield Loses 35% Business in October 2021

Royal Enfield has announced that the brand registered a total sales of 44,133 motorcycles for October 2021. In the corresponding period last year, the brand sold 66,891 units. In the domestic market, Royal Enfield recorded a total sales of 40,611 units for October 2021, as against 62,858 units for October 2020. This translates to a -35 per cent decline in sales. Also, in exports, Royal Enfield posted a total sales of 3,522 units for the given month. Compared to October 2020 the exports stood at 4,033 units, which is a -13 per cent decline. Overall, the sales for October 2021 stood at 44,133 units, down from 66,891 units for October 2020. This translates to a decline of -34 per cent in the month of October 2021 compared to the corresponding month last year.

This year Royal Enfield also marked its entry into motorsports as the brand concludes the Round 1 of the Continental GT Cup. Royal Enfield concluded the first round of the Continental GT Cup held at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. The GT Cup took place at the JK Tyre National Racing Championship (JKNRC) on 24th October 2021. A total of 20 racers on their Continental GT-R650 were racing against each other at the Continental GT Cup.
