Royal Enfield is going to reveal a new cruiser in the global market based on the 650 Twin platform. Reportedly, the brand is planning to launch a new 650cc cruiser which has been spotted multiple times in spy shots testing on public roads in India. Sources believe that the brand is preparing the new motorcycle to make its debut at the 2021 EICMA. Also, Royal Enfield is likely to name the new motorcycle Super Meteor. The moniker will suit the motorcycle as the basic design language could be similar to the Meteor cruiser in the Indian market. In the early 1950s, the brand has also used the nameplate in the American market. Thanks to the localisation and part sharing the 650cc cruiser will be priced similar to the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the Indian market.

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor is likely to come with a rounded headlamp, teardrop fuel tank and relaxed ergonomics. The Super Meteor is likely to feature swept-back handlebars, split seats and forward-set footpegs. The Super Meteor is also likely to come with chrome bits all around the motorcycle. The new Royal Enfield Super Meteor is also likely to come with twin-sided exhaust canisters and a rounded taillight. Royal Enfield Super Meteor – Technical Specifications

Powering the Royal Enfield Super Meteor is a 648cc, air/oil-cooled twin-cylinder engine. The engine produces 47 PS of power and 52 Nm of torque on the Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT. The same motor is likely to do duty on the Super Meteor without any mechanical changes. However, the brand is likely to reduce the size of the rear wheel which will slightly change the acceleration dynamics of the motorcycle. The motorcycle will also come with disc brakes on both ends along with alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
